Yinson Production's Meridian FPSO Hull Earns Main Scantling Approval

Singapore, 18 September 2025 — Yinson Production has achieved a major milestone by securing Main Scantling Approval (MSA) from global assurance and risk management leader DNV for its next-generation purpose-built FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) hull design, known as Meridian.

The newly approved Meridian FPSO hull has been engineered to deliver exceptional performance in challenging offshore environments. It combines low-carbon innovation with high operational adaptability, addressing the increasing demands of deepwater and ultra-deepwater oil and gas projects. With its flexible design and robust processing capacity, the hull is ready for rapid deployment in future projects.


This approval marks a transformative step for Yinson Production, representing its first-ever purpose-built hull design. Building on its strong track record in conversion projects, the company is now positioned to compete for new-build FPSO opportunities. Yinson Production plans to leverage the Meridian hull design to secure projects across key markets in South America and West Africa, further expanding its global footprint
