Stena Drilling have entered into a purchase option for what we hope will become the Stena Evolution. The Drilling Unit is a 7th Generation operation-oriented enhanced Ultra Deep Water DP3 Drillship capable of operating in water depths up to 12,000ft and drilling depths up to 40,000ft. The Drilling Unit's premium high specification and optimal design utilises riser storage in hull to offer extensive deck space with a 24,000MT VDL. Innovative energy and operational efficiencies have been implemented throughout the design to enhance performance. In addition, this vessel is a prime candidate for upgrading for 20,000 psi well operations.
